ARTAPALOOZA 4-8 | Basic Art Classes

Art is an extravaganza that focuses on self-expression that every child deserves to experience no matter talent or skill level. Be it coloring or folding paper to create crafts, this class will enhance the interest of the children and surface their artistic self. Introducing arts and crafts to the kids will build and enhance their cognitive, physical, and social development. They will not only develop their fine motor skills, but working with art supplies will enhance dexterity and improve hand-eye coordination. Before you know it your child will be more confident and creative. Art also helps kids sharpen decision making skills and memory.

Come join us at Artapalooza! We will explore this extravaganza through various forms of mixed media.  Bring your markers, your paper, your  crayons, your glue and see what Artapalooza means to you!

Ms. Deana’s Basic Art Supplies list:

These supplies can be used for each art class: Pencils, erasers, washable markers (like the Crayola brand), scissors, glue (stick or white glue), paper (thicker paper is better but plain copy paper will do), and crayons

Suggested supplies that will expand learning: Black sharpies, ruler, watercolors (Crayola), watercolor paintbrush, construction paper various colors), water spritzing bottle, colored pencils, and oil pastels

Please check out my class page for detailed supplies for each class.

WhizkidMe makes it super easy for your child to pursue an interest or learn a new skill. Our classes are tailor-made to maximize learning in a fun way. Instructor

  • Deana Neibert
    Deana Neibert

Deana Neibert, a native Oklahoman, spent the first 18 years of her adult life teaching theatre. In Oklahoma, she was the drama and stagecraft teacher at Edmond Memorial High School where she was a member of the International Thespian Society. While at EMHS, Deana directed over 30 plays and musicals. In 2010, her husband, Lee was offered a job as a theatre professor at USC Upstate. Deana then moved to South Carolina where she was the managing director of the Spartanburg Youth Theatre. Although Deana spent many hours designing and painting sets, making props, and sewing costumes, she decided to trade the stage for a paintbrush. In 2016, Deana decided that she was ready to study art full time and attended USC Upstate in order to become certified to teach art. Deana currently teaches art to children at the YMCA, in local schools as an Artist in Residence, and teaches privately. Deana also teaches art to special needs adults at USC Upstate. Deana’s latest artworks have been in shows at USC Upstate, The Chapman Cultural Center and The Kentucky Derby Museum. Deana is thrilled to join Whizkidme family and cannot wait for you to visit her classes.
