Wendy Elizabeth Hernandez MartinezI am Wendy Elizabeth Hernandez Martinez born in Guatemala City. I value life and a healthy lifestyle through healthy practices and through my artistic expression (singing, dancing, choreography, filming, fitness, traveling, cooking, hiking, being in nature and teaching, etc.) I am a loving, friendly, outgoing, energetic, resilient, compassionate and creative person. I graduated as a Summa Cum Laude at the San Francisco State University with a bachelor’s degree in Cinema. I also finished two AA degrees with honors; one in Liberal Arts and the other one on Film Production. I received awards for three of my short films including: “Top 10 best Short Films”, “Best Short Film” in the entire university and the third was feature on a local magazine. I have the experience in working with children from Kindergarten to High School, in an academic setting as well as an artistic one. I was a theater director’s assistant for more than five years, assisting on musical numbers (choreographing, dancing, singing, acting, blocking etc.) and other performances. As a freelance artist, I have choreographed a variety of hip-hop, Latin and theater dance performances and taught dance fitness lessons through in person and Zoom classes. I have also created and scripted my own performances and special event shows that were well received and loved by different audiences. I believe that arts are an important part of a healthy lifestyle and overall wellness. As through arts, we are able to express and know ourselves, to build self-love, confidence and character, while also having fun! I’m excited to get to know you and share with you my experience, knowledge and love for arts through Whizkidme. See you soon!
