Week 1

Making a mess with Magic

Intro: Hello introduction and welcome back any returning kids with a bit of history on these tricks

Content: We will be making a bit of an easy to clean mess using cards in a trick that a classmate fooled me with after I had been a magician for a while, back in 7th grade.

I will spill the beans on a super simple self working mathematical trick that can use a wide variety of props from the deck of cards used in the previous trick or a jar of marbles or jelly beans….your choice!

We will also learn a secret method that allows you to make an object pass magically through another object!

I will perform and explain:

“A Mess of Cards”

“As Many as You”

“The Coin and Salt Shaker”

Closing: I will welcome students to come back the following week to learn all new tricks and tips.

A regular deck of cards (doesn’t have to be a full deck)

(optional) a jar of marbles or any small objects that can be held in the hand, many at a time.  The same cards will work as well

A small flat object like a coin, poker chip or even paper clip, a salt shaker and a paper napkin

Week 4

Intro: Hello introduction and welcome back any returning kids.

Content: In this session, we will go over the concept and principle of the “Card Force” with a Force that requires the principle of “Misdirection”.

In addition to that, we will go over another less common principle used in table magic that allows you to make things disappear and even go back together after being destroyed!

These are extensions of things touched on in a previous session.

“Criss Cross”

“Vanishing Pen”

“Restored Sugar”

Closing: I will welcome students to come back the following week to learn all new tricks and tips.
